5 Color Case Alternatives to Waiting for a White iPhone 4

Today, Apple announced further delays to the white iPhone 4 release, dashing the dreams of would-be white iPhone 4 owners everywhere. Never fear, thanks to the power of silicon and plastic, you can add some color to your black iPhone and get some antennagate protection at the same time.
While some industrious modders have taken the DIY approach, we figure most individuals will feel much more comfortable putting a case on their new devices. While none of these solutions offer a full 100% white iPhone 4 effect, you can get pretty close. Check out the gallery below to preview our picks of slim-fitting iPhone 4 color cases.

SwitchEasy has a solution for the iPhone 4 owner who wants to add some color to their protective options. You have your choice of 9 different colors and the case covers the back, the sides and the home button of the iPhone 4. You even get a set of connector covers for the headphone jack and the dock connector.
The home button has been given a special "Jelly Bean" tactile feel that is supposed to make it more responsive than other covered case solutions.
Price: $14.99
For iPhone 4 owners that want a case that is as thin as possible, but still want some protection and a little bit of colored fair, check out the NUDE from SwitchEasy. Available in eight different colors, the case covers the sides and the back of the device.
Plus SwitchEasy provides two screen guards, a microfiber cloth and two sets of covers for the headphone jack and dock connector. I recently ordered a black NUDE case for my iPhone 4 and I love it.
Price: $19.99
The Belkin Grip Vue is a slim cover for your iPhone 4 that also offers protection. You can get it in clear, black pearl or royal purple. The material is flexible and durable and designed, as the name implies, to help you easily grip your device.
Price: $24.00
The Belkin Shield Eclipse is an interesting case because it's clear and hard on the top, but softer to the touch and durable at the bottom. That makes it easy to hold but also resistant to bumps and scratches.
Belkin offers the case in four colors, including blue, purple, black and white.
Price: $29.99
The Hard Candy Candy Slider is designed to offer protection for the sides and back of your device that is easy to slide on and slide off.
Available in five different colors, the soft-touch plastic adds a bit of color and some protection to your iPhone 4.
Price: $34.95

Apple Stock Hits $700 for First Time Ever

Apple finally joined the elite 700-club on Monday.
The company’s stock passed $700 a share in after hours trading for the first time in its history. Apple’s stock had been teasing the $700 mark in recent days, on the strength of iPhone sales estimates following the company’s iPhone 5 announcement last week. The stock opened Monday at $699.33 and dipped down for much of the day before closing at $699.78.
Some analysts have upped their price targets for the company based on the news that Apple will launch the latest iPhone in dozens of countries before the end of this month, helping boost sales for the September quarter.
Apple revealed in a press release Monday that two million iPhone 5′s were pre-ordered in the first 24 hours it was available, meaning the new iPhone is selling at twice the pace of the iPhone 4s. The general consensus among analysts is that Apple will sell more than 50 million iPhone 5′s in the next fiscal quarter.
There are only a handful of other companies whose stock has traded above $700 a share, including Priceline, Berkshire Hathaway and NVR Inc. Google, one of Apple’s chief competitors in the mobile space, also recently passed the $700 mark for the first time in five years.
Apple’s market cap is currently $656 billion.

AOC reveals iPhone-compatible e2343Fi monitor, boosts your Dock Connector peripheral count by one

AOC reveals
We know you've faced a plethora of docking peripherals that aim to take your iPhone into transformer status. But, if the boombox or wired-phone looks just weren't cutting-edge enough for you, would a 23-inch display do the trick? AOC's e2343Fi is packed up and heading to CES 2012 ready to share its Full-HD and SRS Premium Sound qualities with your Apple device. If you were pondering whether the sole purpose of the monitor was to act as a multimedia station, fret not -- the screen can do what it's accustomed to without its docked friend. There's no word on how juicy (or dry) it is in the specs department, or how deep it'll dig into your wallet, but you can bet we'll be the hunt for further deets next month.

MTV Releasing Facebook Game and iPhone App to Promote “Jersey Shore”

The second season of MTV’s reality hit, Jersey Shore, will debut this coming Thursday. To build anticipation around the first episode fist-pump style, MTV is releasing a Facebook game and iPhone app that will feature the show’s larger-than-life personalities in cartoon form.

The Facebook game is a Jersey-Shore-lover’s dream come true and challenges players to battle each other in head-to-head pickle and tanning lotion throwing competitions.

The game is set to make its debut on Tuesday and evolve in content as the storylines on the show develop over the season. From the looks of it, the game also involves managing finances and jobs, which seems a tad strange given what we know about the cast from season one. We kid.

Later in the week, Snooki fans can “Spread Snooki” — yes, that’s the name of the game — using an upcoming MTV iPhone app. The app is much more harmless than the name insinuates; it will simply allow users to superimpose Snooki’s face or fist pump gesture on to iPhone photos they take or have in their library.

The apps are nothing more than Jersey Shore fun. If this season is to be as successful as the first, than we can certainly expect even more inane games, spoofs and parodies. Here we go again.
